The Algoa branch of the Sports Car Club of South Africa (incorporating the Algoa Historic Motor Club) is a group of car enthusiasts who share a love for quality automotive machinery. The club gets together at least once every two weeks at the premises of the Eastern Province Vintage Car Club in Conyngham Road, Port Elizabeth.

A well-known oil company has produced an interesting article regarding Valve Seat Recession, which can be caused by unleaded fuel in older cars.
The article, linked here, sheds some light on the effects on engines of lead in fuel, and what happens when older cars are driven hard for extended periods with unleaded fuel in them.
It is also worth noting at this point that the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa publish a free database indicating fuel compatibility of a large range of vehicles. |
